The development of the El Duque area started in 1995, by then, the municipality of Adeje and government chose to allow only 5 star hotels with a maximum of 4 levels. Thanks to these new laws, the area was built in a very attractive. It has everything you need: the most beautiful beach, exquisite restaurants and several shopping centers.
Many people define the area as tranquil and yet, entertaining. The pioneering hotel in the area is without doubt the Gran Hotel Bahía del Duque, it was built near the El Duque castle and was the first 5 star hotel in Tenerife south.
